Michael was recently invited to serve on the Strategy Council of the United Nations Global Alliance for ICT and Development.  Under his guidance, MAP has been recognized as a leader in the mobile financial services sector, having been designated a finalist for the 2009 GSMA (representing 219 countries and over 800 mobile operators in the world) for “Best Use of Mobile for Social and Economic Development” and a “Business Call to Action” honoree at the World Business Awards by Department for International Development and the United Nations Development Programme.</p><p>Michael also serves as Chairman of MapCash Holdings, LLC, an affiliate of MAP, which issues debit cards and provides credit to consumers in emerging markets.  Michael is a serial global entrepreneur, having built successful businesses in real estate, mortgage banking, information and communication technologies and advanced banking solutions.</p><p>Michael received his bachelor’s degree from the London School of Economics, a Master's Degree from New York University, and a law degree from Yeshiva University's Cardozo School of Law. He founded MAP International in 2007 and is responsible for the formation of its vision and strategy.  He is also the founder of MAPHoldings, a holding company for emerging market financial services companies. The Group's companies include MAPcash, the largest issuer of debit cards in the Caribbean, PostCash, a post office money transfer company, and FastCash, the largest Caribbean microlending company.</p><p>Mr. Popack has been active in advising Inter-Governmental Philatelic Corporation (IGPC) on its market strategy and has liaised with government postal administrations on its behalf. IGPC is the world's largest philatelic agency, representing more than 70 postal administrations in matters relating to the administration, consultation, design, production, and marketing of their postage stamps. The company has well-established partnerships with postal authorities in the developing world, especially in Africa.</p><p>Earlier in his career, Mr. Popack founded Stampville.com, the premier online portal of collectable postage stamps, which was subsequently sold.</p><p>Mr. Popack completed a masters degree and Rabbinical Ordination at the Rabbinical College of Canada in September 1997. In 1996, he served in the Summer Jewish Peace Corps, where he assisted in establishing the modern-day Jewish community in Shanghai, China.</p><p>Mr. Popack and his wife reside in New York City with their three children.</p>";

He then co-founded and became president of Diversified Investment Associates Inc., a real estate and venture capital investment company headquartered in Baltimore. During his tenure, the company completed nearly US$1 billion in investments in the United States.</p><p>In 2001, Mr. Deutschman left Diversified Investment Associates (remaining an owner) and helped manage the acquisition by Iridium Satellite, LLC of the assets of the Iridium system—the world’s largest privately owned satellite communications system—from the bankruptcy estate of Iridium LLC. Mr. Deutschman then became Chief Counsel and Chief Administrative Officer of Iridium Satellite, which today is a major, highly profitable provider of satellite services to both government and commercial customers.</p><p>Upon his retirement from Iridium, Mr. Deutschman joined GTV GloboKasNet, LLC (GKN), which provides transaction processing services in rural communities throughout the world, to enable banks and other institutions to extend their services to those and other underserved markets.</p><p>Mr. Deutschman is a graduate of the University of Maryland (summa cum laude) and the Columbia University School of Law (cum laude). He was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and is a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar.</p>";

His 27-year career with Barclays Bank afforded him global expertise in every facet of the international and internal finance issues he deals with as MAP’s CFO. His corporate banking experience spanned Barclays operations in London, the Far East and central & southern Africa and the Cayman Islands.</p><p>Mr. Streatfeild-James’ career with Barclays culminated in his service as Managing Director of the bank’s regional office in Gibraltar. During his three-year tenure there, he revitalized the bank by implementing significant improvements across the board — improving service and profitability substantially in the process, and by introducing a range of 21st century methods and processes to operations.</p><p>Mr. Streatfeild-James has run his own financial and management consultancy business and serves on the boards of a number of regulated and non-regulated companies, primarily in the financial sector.  An alumnus of City of London University, he is also an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers.</p>";

He embarked on his career with Allied Bank International (Bank of Africa), where he rose to the rank of Assistant Managing Director.  While with Allied Bank, he served in Rwanda, Congo, Tanzania, Brussels and London.</p><p>In 2002, he joined Standard Chartered Bank (Uganda) as the Head of the Advantage Card Program. He then joined DFCU Bank as Head of Marketing and later as Head of the Wholesale Banking Division.</p><p>Mr. Nsubuga holds a Bachelors of Sciences in Political Sciences from Makerere University (UGANDA) and a Masters in Public Administration & Management from Nkumba University.  He is a member of Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM London) and sits on various boards including: Board of Directors of Post Bank Uganda, Board of Directors of Uganda Air Cargo and the Nabagereka Development Foundation—a charitable foundation founded by Her Royal Highness The Queen of Buganda.  During the recent Commonwealth Heads of State Meetings (CHOGM) in Uganda, Mr. Nsubuga was nominated to the National Task Force, which successfully coordinated the visit of the Queen of England.</p>";

He completed successful implementations as the lead Project Manager for Data and Voice LAN Installation most recently at Mbararar Outreach Centre in 2007 and the Global Distance Learning Centre in 2006.  In 2005, Mr. Balikuddembe  designed the LAN and WAN infrastructure for the REACHPolicy Initiative project (EAC-Arusha Tanzania).</p><p>Mr. Balikuddembe holds a Bachelor of Statistics Degree (Computing), a Postgraduate Diploma in Development Planning Techniques, and is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer.</p>";
